What is the best thing I can do for my hair?

I am growing out my bleached – blond highlighted hair and my natural color is light brown. I swim in a chlorinated pool every day and I wear a swim cap but the water still gets in. I have long hair and bangs and sometimes they get a little greasy (I know, gross right?), also I get split ends really easy.
