What Are The Causes Of High Uric Acid Levels In Blood And How Do You Lower Uric Acid Naturally?

If you’re searching for what are the causes of high uric acid levels in the blood, and, how to lower uric acid levels naturally, then you’ve come to the right place. Here, as well as the causes of high uric acid levels in blood, you’ll discover how you can treat and reduce the levels quite naturally and so eliminate your gout without expensive drugs with their horrible side effects.

What Are the Causes of High Uric Acid Levels in the Blood?

Many people are aware that gout and high uric acid levels are connected. And they know that when the uric acid turns to uric acid crystals, it’s these crystals that deposit themselves in your joints — particularly the big toe, but also the ankle, knee, elbow, etc. — that cause the symptoms and agonizing pain of gout.

But what most folks don’t know is that it is naturally occurring chemical compounds called ‘purines’ that are at the root of the problem. Purines occur naturally in our bodies and foodstuffs and are essential in helping to convert our food to energy and genes to protein. When they breakdown during this process, uric acid is produced as a result.

Normally, the uric acid formed in this way is processed and flushed from your body by your kidneys. But when your kidneys fail to do this efficiently, the excess uric acid that isn’t flushed away deposits itself in the form of crystals in your joints, thus causing your agonising pain.

What About Medications to Lower High Uric Acid Levels in the Blood?

Doctors generally prescribe drugs for gout. Some may loosely tell you a few foods to avoid, but they do rely on drug-based medications to try to control it. Usually you’ll get drugs to reduce inflammation and pain, and, drugs to help reduce the acid levels.

These do work over time and the pain and the symptoms will eventually disappear, but the side effects of these drugs can be pretty severe, and, they aren’t addressing the underlying causes such as diet and lifestyle issues. Without addressing and sorting these types of issues, once having gout, you’re certain to keep getting recurring attacks, which can cause permanent damage.

You already have these in your body, but they also occur in foods at varying levels. You need to avoid things like — red meat, kidneys, liver, meat extracts, goose, brains, broth, consomme, gravy, heart, anchovies, fish, herring, mackerel, roe, sardines, scallops, shellfish, shrimps, bouillon, dried legumes, mincemeat, mussels, partridge, poultry (especially turkey), sweetbreads, peas, asparagus, cauliflower, mushrooms, baker’s yeast, brewer’s yeast, yeast extracts. And you must avoid all alcohol, especially beer because of the yeast content.

You can consume things like — low-fat dairy products, high-vitamin C foods, complex carbohydrates (e.g. breads, cereals, pasta, rice, etc.), essential fatty acids (e.g. tuna, salmon, seeds, etc.), vegetables (but NOT peas, asparagus, cauliflower, or mushrooms), cherries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes.

2 – Drink Plenty of Water Regularly

You need to drink between 2 and 3 liters of water daily. Water helps your kidneys along, and so helps to flush excess uric acid from your body. This is especially important during the period of an attack.
