Is it safe to use contact solution instead of eye drops to clear up contacts?

After a few hours of wearing my contacts, they start to get a little foggy. I put eye drops in, but it doesn’t make the fogginess go away. So one day I just put in a couple drops of my contact solution and it cleared them right up, but a friend said that the solution shouldn’t be used as eye drops like that! Is she right?

Well, they are not designed to be that wya, but it is not going to Hurt you. I do it sometimes myself. Just do not touch the open end of the bottle to your eye or to your hands. You might contaminate the whole bunch of solution.
