Are reed diffusers any good?

The reed diffusers are ok, but I have quit using all commercial air fresheners. I have found the most effective air fresheners is to put a few drops of your favorite essential oil into the inside roll of your paper towel and toilet paper rolls. Every time someone pulls a piece off it releases a wonderful fragrance. It is more effective than the plug ins and definitely more effective than the reed diffusers.
